With the new restrictions due to the national lockdown for Covid19 we needed to find an alternative PE activity. Tom has been enjoying his skateboard adventure so far so Jules decided to try this out too. We ordered a board and safety pack online and these arrived earlier this week. Here's some footage of Julia's first trip to the local park:

  With the weather getting a little bit cheerier we decided to take a quick dip in the sea but opted for neoprene in deference to the season. We forgot to take a thermometer so we cannot be sure of the temperature, but, https://www.seatemperature.org suggests that Southend-on-Sea currently has seawater at 18.1 degrees Celcius. All the same it seemed more like 15 to us. We managed a quarter of an hour swimming and collected some sea glass and pebbles with holes for craft activities.
